The large one stands about as tall as a drinking glass, which puts a lit taper close to eye level for anyone seated at the table. Both share the same 3.9 in (10 cm) base, so a pair reads as one set rather than two separate objects.

Good to know
Dinner candles vary at the base. One that rocks in the well drips down the outside of the glass instead of into it, and brown glass hides a lot but never a wax run. Warm the base of the candle and press it in, or shave it until it seats flat.
Care
Let the wax go hard, lift it out with a thumbnail, then rinse in warm water and dry by hand. Borosilicate takes heat better than ordinary glass, but a well full of hot wax under a hot faucet is still a temperature swing worth avoiding.
