The opening is the whole product: a wide scoop cut out of a cast moon, low enough that a hand goes in without looking. That is what separates a bowl people use from an ornament people walk past.

Resin, textured with craters, with a small astronaut sitting on the rim above the opening. It measures 7.9 x 10.2 in (20 x 26 cm), so treat it as a piece of furniture for a console rather than a dish for a coffee table.

At 10.2 in (26 cm) tall this is closer to a large melon than to a candy dish, and it needs a clear stretch of console or a shelf with nothing above it. Two feet of empty surface around it is what makes it read as a sculpture instead of clutter.

The bowl does not close, so keep to wrapped sweets, keys, coins or the pocket contents that pile up by a front door. Unwrapped chocolate in an open resin bowl goes soft and dusty within a day, and no amount of moon texture fixes that.

Wipe the inside with a damp cloth and dry it. Crater texture holds dust in the low spots, so a dry brush works better than a cloth on the outside.
