Glare off the water hides everything under it, which is the whole problem on a lake at midday. A contrast tint pulls the surface reflection down so the shape of a weed bed or a drop off reads instead of a sheet of white.

Take a pair you already own and measure the front hinge to hinge. At 5.71 in (14.5 cm) this is a medium to wide frame, so on a narrow face it will slide down a nose in warm weather.
Good to know
A tint helps you read water in daylight. It does not help at dusk, and a dark lens on a gray morning takes away more than it gives, so keep these for bright hours and put them in a hard case for the drive home. Polycarbonate resists impact and scratches easily, in that order.
