The outside measures 4.1 in (10.5 cm) across and 6.9 in (17.5 cm) tall. The hole you actually plant in is 2.7 in square and 2.8 in deep. That gap between the two is the thing to know before you go shopping for a plant to put in it.

Overall it stands about as tall as a coffee mug and a half. The cavity is the figure that matters: 2.8 in of depth takes the smallest nursery pot on the garden center shelf, one succulent, a young pothos cutting, or a herb you intend to use up rather than grow on. Anything with a real root system will be circling the bottom by the second month.
Good to know
The pen pot use is the honest one. A well 2.8 in deep is a poor home for a plant and a good home for pencils, paintbrushes, makeup brushes or a bundle of dried stems, and it never needs watering. If you do plant it, use gritty mix and water in small amounts, because a shallow well and a heavy pour do not go together.
Care
Wipe the resin with a damp cloth. Modeled faces and fur hold dust in the recesses, so a soft brush gets in where a cloth just flattens across the top.
