Adhesive hooks come off a wall for two reasons: the paint was dusty when they went on, or something too heavy went on the hook. Neither is the glue's fault and both are avoidable.

This one presses onto smooth surfaces, walls, tile, glass, mirrors and door panels, then closes an elastic buckle around a handle so it cannot swing out. Polypropylene, in black or white, with a single or double hook.

Fit

Measure the handle before you order. A standard broom or mop pole falls inside the 0.4 in to 1 in (10 mm to 25 mm) range. A push broom or a garden rake usually does not.

Good to know

Textured wallpaper, raw brick and chalky paint give an adhesive pad nothing to hold, so keep this on hard, smooth, clean surfaces. It is built for handles and light kitchen tools, not for a loaded tote or a wet winter coat.

Care

Wipe the spot clean and let it dry, press the pad for 30 seconds, then leave it alone for 2 hours before you hang anything. The wait is the whole trick.
