The top opening on this vase runs 2 in (5 cm) across, which is room for three or four stems and nothing after that. Buy the flowers to fit the vase and not the other way around, or you will be trimming a bouquet down at the sink.

The large stands about as tall as a wine bottle. The medium is a hand span shorter, which on a dining table is the difference between blocking a sightline and clearing it. Both are measured by hand, so expect 0.3 in to 0.8 in of drift either way, which matters if you are lining one up against a shelf edge.
Good to know
The slot at the top decides everything. Dried grasses, pampas, one peony, three tulips: those work. A supermarket bunch with its filler still in does not, and forcing it through splays the stems sideways instead of holding them upright. If you want mass, stand two of these side by side rather than overloading one.
Care
Wipe the outside with a dry cloth. Resin catches dust in the ridges faster than a smooth glaze does, so a soft brush gets into the petal folds better than a rag will.
