Plush and trash is a combination that asks for a little discipline. Wrappers, tissues and receipts are fine. Half a cup of soda is how a plush dog becomes a smell you drive around with in July, so keep anything wet inside the lining and empty it the day it happens.
It sits on the armrest rather than clamping to it, so a car with a curved or sloped armrest lid will let it slide on a hard corner. Check that the lid is flat before you count on it staying put.
