A doormat takes wet boots from November through New Year's, which is the argument for making the seasonal one the washable one. This is a printed polyester holiday mat, deep red with a sweep of gold stars and Merry Christmas across the middle, on a non slip backing.
Printed polyester is a low pile surface. It takes dust, dry snow, and slush off a shoe. It does not take caked mud off a work boot, and it will not hide what it fails to take.

Care
Machine wash cold and dry it flat. A hot dryer is what curls the backing, and a curled mat catches a toe every time the door swings inward.
Good to know
Full sun is the enemy of a printed red. Under a covered porch the color holds through a season. On an exposed step facing south it goes pink where the light lands, and the gold dulls first. Shake it out weekly and it will come back out of the box next December.
