It is a slim glass vase wrapped with hemp rope, sold in two sizes.

The small one stands about as tall as a pint glass. Both are shallow front to back, so they sit flat against a wall or on a windowsill, and both stay low enough to talk across at a dinner table.
Materials
Soda lime glass with hemp rope at the neck. The rope decides how you wash it: it darkens and frays if it stays wet, and it will not come out of a dishwasher looking the way it went in.
Care
Change the water every couple of days and rinse the inside with a bottle brush, then wipe the outside dry without soaking the rope. Cloudy glass is usually old water rather than a stain.
