Care

Dust it with a dry cloth. Polished metal shows fingerprints, so handle it by the base if you care about that, and skip the spray cleaners that leave a film in the welds.

Good to know

The barrel is built from vertical slats with gaps between them. Pens, pencils and scissors sit in it fine. Paper clips, thumbtacks and erasers go straight through and land on the desk, which is a good reason to keep this on the pen side and leave the small stuff in a drawer.
