A knife block gets bought on how it looks and sent back over what fits. This one takes up to 7 knives with blades 1 to 1.4 in wide, so measure the widest part of yours first: paring and utility knives sit inside that range, and a full size chef's knife is often wider at the heel than it looks.
The block itself is a skull in resin, painted by hand, at 5.91 x 5.91 x 6.69 in (15 x 15 x 17 cm) and about 1.3 lb (600 g). That is enough weight to sit still while you take a blade out straight, and not enough to stop it moving if you pull one out sideways.

Care
Painted resin wants a damp cloth and nothing stronger. Send the blades in dry: a wet knife in a closed slot has nowhere to shed the water, and that is where rust starts on carbon steel.
Good to know
It sits on the counter and it is the size of a human skull, because it is one. Clear the space before it arrives rather than discovering that the toaster now lives somewhere else.
