The cardboard box a tissue pack comes in was designed to be read from a supermarket shelf, not looked at from your sofa. A cover fixes that. This one is woven wicker with a lift off lid, in cornsilk or a darker saddle brown, at 9 x 5 x 4 in (23 x 13 x 10 cm).

Size

9 x 5 x 4 in (23 x 13 x 10 cm) is the standard rectangular tissue footprint. Lift the stack out of its cardboard and set it straight in: it sits closer that way, and the last few tissues still come up instead of folding into the bottom corner.

Good to know

Open weave hides the box rather than sealing it, which is fine on a bedside table and less good in a bathroom. Wicker holds steam and dries slower than the room does, so a shelf away from the shower is the place for it.

Care

Dust it with a dry brush along the direction of the weave. A damp cloth catches on the fibers and leaves them standing up, and a wet wicker box takes a day to dry through.
