Sculpture first, light second. The dragon stands with its wings arched and its mouth open, and the LED sits back in the throat, so the flame effect appears to come out of the jaws rather than off a bulb you can see.

The body is cast resin, painted by hand over the scales and the ridges, and the glow runs red orange rather than white. On a nightstand it works as a night light. In a game room it is the thing visitors pick up without asking.
