Good to know

The cone sits at an angle, which is charming and also means water is a bad idea in it. Use dried grasses, faux tulips or a few stems of preserved eucalyptus, or stand a slim glass tube inside if you want the real thing.

The butterflies are the fragile part. They stand proud of the hair and the shoulder on thin sections, which is exactly where a sleeve catches them and where a fall breaks them. Give it a shelf that is not on a walking route.

Care

Dust it with a dry soft brush rather than a cloth, working outward from the face. A cloth snags on the raised butterfly wings, and hand painted resin loses its detail at the high points first.
