A wet bath towel needs air on both faces or it stays wet, which is why a towel folded twice over a radiator smells worse on day three than it did on day one. This rack runs a brass rod between two wood ends, so a towel hangs open with a gap behind it.

Good to know

One rod holds one bath towel properly. Two towels overlapping on the same bar dry at the pace of the slowest one, so if two people share the bathroom, plan on the larger size or a second rack rather than doubling up.

Care

Wipe spills off the wood rather than letting them sit, and keep the rack off the wall line where a shower sprays. Brass darkens as it ages: some people polish it back, most let it go and prefer it that way after a year.
