A 3.5 in base under a 9.8 in body is a tipping ratio, and it is the reason narrow vessels end up on the floor with a dried branch still in them. Keep the tall ones back from a doorway and put the heavy stems in the short one.

The short red is about the height of a drinking glass and the yellow is close to a wine bottle. Nothing here is wider than 3.9 in, so think single stems and small groupings: three ranunculus, one branch of eucalyptus, a handful of dried grasses. A garden bunch does not go in.
Good to know
Buy three at staggered heights rather than one at a time. A single narrow vessel on a wide surface looks like it lost the others, and the whole point of a narrow profile is that several of them line up in the width one ordinary vase would take.
Care
Rinse with warm water. A textured outside catches dust in the relief, so a dry brush does more than a cloth, and a water line inside a narrow body needs a bottle brush rather than a finger.
