20 oz (600 ml) is a serious pour, closer to a pint with a splash on top than to a coffee cup. Fill it to the rim and the last third goes cold before you reach it, which is worth knowing before this becomes the morning mug.

The body is cast resin, sculpted with a hooded reaper, a skull on the handle and a river scene running around the sides. Inside is a stainless steel liner, so the drink sits against steel and not against the sculpture.

Size

At 6.2 in (16 cm) it stands taller than a standard mug, so check the clearance under your coffee machine before you plan on brewing straight into it. Filled, 20 oz (600 ml) is roughly two ordinary cups in one hand.

Care

Hand wash it in warm water and dry the steel. Resin and a metal liner both dislike a dishwasher cycle, and the steel rules out the microwave for good.

Good to know

This is drinkware built as a sculpture first. The raised detail means it does not stack, it does not nest with your other mugs, and it takes cupboard space the way an ornament does.
